The old west pier is on fire! There has been a drive in recent months for the council and the pier trust fund to renovate this aging lump, its been un-used for about 30 years and the sea has destroyed most of it. Now its a total burnt out shell, they are going to have quite a job convincing anyone that its worth fixing.

As I walked through town, one couldn’t help noticing that the streets were filled with smoke, this smoke (from the burning pier) practically swept right through brighton and hove right up to the train station.
