About Dadako Studios

Dadako™ Studios makes fun applications and games for social networking – and beyond – on platforms such as iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and online.

The Studio

Based in the heart of Tokyo, Dadako is a small team of hard-working professionals. The Studio is directed by it’s founder, Hawken King.

History

Dadako has been making games since 1999, originally for a popular website (at the time) called k10k with our first game “Build”. This saw two brother builders battling it out to see who could build a bathroom the fastest – then have a tea break! This game gained much success for it’s style and presentation and was followed up with Aquatris, one of the most pirated online games of it’s time.

The years rolled by and Dadako continued to make games, including a title for the GameBoy Advance called “I heart you”. From there on it’s founder worked on pixel game like contents for online advertising, games for Sky, and character designs for Sega, Capcom and Nintendo. Also he worked on a isometric chat game called “helpgame” for the Beatles 1 album, with superstar web developers, Kleber.

2010 saw the beginning of Dadako setting up as an independent studio, funding and making it’s own games.
